The 44th Cincinnati Antiques Festival
October 16,17 and 18, 2009
Presented by Fifth Third Asset Management
The Cincinnati Antiques Festival, now celebrating its 44th year, welcomes 34 renowned antique dealers from 16 states and the United Kingdom.
The Association of Volunteers has donated $3,500,000 to the Convalescent Hospital for Children, an affiliate of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
The proceeds from the 2009 Festival will continue to support the Division of Occupational and Physical Therapy at the Medical Center with the purchase of a pediatric Locomat. A Locomat is a high tech gait trainer which looks like a tread mill but supports the body weight of the child who is unable to support himself and will improve and help relearn walking skills. It offers an exciting new form of treatment for children with a variety of disorders such as cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury and stroke. The Association is pleased to provide the funds to purchase this innovative piece of equipment, one of three in the United States and will dedicate the proceeds from the next three Antiques Festivals to this project.
